如果编辑或审稿人因为对稿件的内容理解有误而做出不能说服作者的决定，作者可以对拒稿的理由逐一反驳，以期得到重新处理（前提是认真审视稿件的表达方式，修改表达不够清楚或有可能产生歧义的文字）。

例1：对编辑初审退稿的申辩

Dear Editor，

I just received your information on rejecting our manuscript，entitled“***”（Ref.No.***），without an opportunity of peer review.We strongly feel that our paper deals with an important topic on....

We have also noticed the relative articles mentioned in your reply，but we put forward a completely different standpoint in our paper.We found that（1）...；（2）...；（3）....Thus，our paper has achieved a major break-through as it is the first time to testify that....

It would be much appreciated if you could reconsider to process peer review of our manuscript.I am looking forward to hearing from you.
