（二）动词的转译

动词在商务英语翻译主要转换为名词。

The volume of trade has increased tremendously to the advantage of both countries.

The instrument is characterized by its compactness and portability.

Such materials are characterized by good insulation and high resistance to wear。

这些材料的特点是绝缘性好、耐磨性强。

上述英语原文中的动词“characterized”在汉语中翻译为“特点”，从而使译文更加符合汉语表达习惯。

（三）形容词的转译

形容词的转换主要有以下两种情况。

1.形容词转译为名词。

We recognize that intellectual property protection is important for the development of new medicines.

我们认识到知识产权保护对于开发新药的重要性。

2.形容词转译为动词。

The export trade is subject to many risks. Ships may sink or consignments be damaged in transit, exchange rates may alter, buyers default or governments suddenly impose an embargo.

The machine is out of repair.
